I recently sent a nice, (in my opinion) well-written message to an admissions counselor from a certain university. However, after 5 minutes, I realized I sent it to the wrong admissions counselor. The school has admissions counselors for each state, and my state has two counselors: one for the north and central region, and one for the southern region. I am from the southern region, yet I sent my email to the counselor for the north and central region. It was an honest mistake, and wasn’t something I could have corrected (no matter how many times I reread the message), unless I visit the school’s website again (which I did, albeit after sending the message).
I already sent a sincere apology letter to the counselor, but my question is this: Will it be OK for me to send the same message I sent to the initial counselor to the other counselor (the one for my region)? Because I wrote a decent amount (took me about 30-45 minutes to write and reread) and it would be a shame to have to start from scratch, but I also do not want to make a bad impression upon the counselor(s), or school in general. I am now getting worried that I have tarnished my reputation among the admissions office.
Thank you for any help/advice, and I am sorry if I am posting this in the wrong forum.
