Admissions cycle for class of 2023

@gelmom3
I am so sorry- I came on to post an update and I am just seeing this. Your daughter can audition for the BFA Acting program while she is a student in the BA program (and the fact that she is a BA student is not regarded positively or negatively in the audition process.) The thing that she does need to consider if she chooses to audition is that the BFA Acting program is a cohort-based four year program. That means that if admitted, she will spend four years in the Acting program even if she has a year of college credit. There are 8-10 first year students in that program and they begin together, go through the program together, and showcase together at the end.
I hope this helps, but please feel free to give me a call if you would like clarification!

I just wanted to update on MT letters. I found out that we did not coordinate well with the College of Music Admissions office and their letters were taking longer generate because of the large number of auditioned programs they have. As a result, Kris sent out emails once we discovered the discrepancy. At this time, everyone should have received a letter (BFA) or an email (BM.) Please accept my apologies and let me know if you haven’t received either.

Thank you so much for your reply. I will discuss this with my daughter. She was not accepted into the BFA program but that is really what she wants to do.

@All4FSU - any insight available into alternates notifications process? Thanks in advance.

@VinNole
We still have a number of students who are in the decision-making process. There is a good possibility that we will not notify alternates until May 2nd or 3rd. Notification of admission will come by phone call followed by an offer letter. Please give me a call if you have more specific questions!
