I'm a high school senior and have taken community college courses throughout my high school years. How many semester units are freshman applicants limited to transferring to JHU? Thanks!

12 credits

Please note: In addition to allowable credits from AP or IB higher-level exams, entering freshmen may transfer up to 12 credits from course work taken at other colleges that meets the criteria of the academic advising offices.

Hey eaad,

Somewhere I read that although each college credit is considered on an individual basis, courses not taken on college credits usually don't carry credit over to JHU. Something about it being not collegey enough.

IE, dual credit high school classes don't transfer...

What do you mean by ...

"... course not take on college credits ... "

Did you in error substitute the word credits for campuses???

If so, then yes it is true that Johns Hopkins will not offer credit for "college" courses taken at one's high school - which most schools will call dual enrollment.

Further information on transfer credits for freshmen can be found here:

But is this also true for college courses taken at an actual community college alongside college students?
Thanks!

As it says in the link I provided in my previous post...

Credit is accepted for college-level work completed at another college. Credit is not awarded for college-level courses taken on a high school campus.
