Does anyone have an official date for the release of admissions decisions? It seems like the EA decisions were rolling and I remember my older son got his decision in November less than a month after he applied. S2 applied in December, RD and hasn't heard a word.

Of course for us, Fordham is all about the merit money. S2 loves the school but it's so expensive that without really good merit aid he won't be able to go. :(

RD decisions go out last week of March. You have until April 30 to respond. Some will hear a bit early by email or likely letter. Some of those will be offered merit scholarships. Rest assured that you will have a complete package to consider the month of April as you compare offers from various schools. Been there, done that. We too were also RD applicants and got a likely letter a bit earlier.

I think it depends on the program. My daughter received her letter last year on March 7 or 8.

glass: Your daughter is in the fine arts department at LC? Correct? That is wholly different from FCLC at large and FCRH and Gabelli. The vast majority…over 90% of RD applicants will receive their official notices, mailed in batches (admit, defer, deny), in the last week of March. You are given one month (April) to decide. Admitted students orientation/welcoming/persuading you to pull the trigger weekends are held in early to mid April, which I strongly recommend people attend particularly if they are wavering between schools/offers. SOME RD applicants will get likely letters a bit earlier. Those tend to be the uberstats kids (75th percentile and above).

I wish everyone the very best.

You have till May 1 to decide. It’s the same throughout the country.
