Hi everyone, I applied to uconn back in october and am anxiously waiting like everyone else. My student portal status update changed and says “this application is complete”, I also have a campus e-mail and a financial aid update however I have no scholarship option and no pay deposit option. I’ve only been accepted to two schools (that I don’t like) so im really anxious. HOWEVER i was looking on the past forum from last year (totally stalking) and I found that some people who didn’t have the pay deposit option later had their accounts updated and then the option appeared. Sadly there was one girl whos pay deposit option didn’t change and she was waitlisted so it could go either way for us! Everyone hang in there, if you don’t get accepted you can always go somewhere else that will value you Good luck!
Really hoping I didn’t get waitlisted though that would break my heart!
I also just got the UConn’s financial aid process e-mail
where do you guys see the pay deposit thing?
does the email and finical aid link mean anything?
@alnespo97 if I knew I’d tell you
The financial aid email does not mean anything. I got the same type of email from UNC Chapel Hill before I got rejected, so don’t read anything into it.
what about the UCONN email address listed on the student center?
Looking from last year’s thread, everyone I saw with the email and scholarship link got accepted
ok so I’m kind of confused, (kind of like we all are). Im OOS and I have the Schedule Builder and
Dynamic Class Search under My Academics. The Schedule Builder Dynamic Class Search aren’t links kind of just writing. I also have the E-mail Addresses tab under my Personal Information under the “Other personal…” tab. It just has my personal email that I used when I applied and the email type. Is that kind of the jist that everyone else has? (ignoring the scholarship/FA part)
Those who have the email, scholarship, or deposit link are basically in why else would those be there is what I’m assuming. The portal can update anytime so thats a plus.
@BostonSportsFan Ok that’s what I was thinking but we’ll all never know until the results are out. Best of luck to you all!
Who has the the deposit link?
Under the My Account Portion of the main page, has the “Pay Room Reservation Fee” and “Request GA Payroll Deduction” there for everyone? I haven’t checked to see if this has changed as I haven’t been playing as close attention to my application since the updates of the Summer Financial Aid Link, and the email address( but I’ve taken ECE’s so I suspect its not new). Thanks
@zachaah if you have the “Pay Room Reservation Fee” link, then that’s a good sign. Either way, however, by taking ECE classes, you’re basically a guaranteed acceptance since 90% of ECE students who apply to UCONN are accepted
@jjh2003 Of course I agree its a good sign, however Im just curious if others have this link as well.
@jjh200 So those who take ECE classes are almost guaranteed admission? How do you know?
@Grassias http://ece.uconn.edu/forms/student-registration-guide-and-consent-form.pdf
If you go to the third page on the right side of this link, it says that actually 92% of students who applied to UCONN and took ECE courses were accepted, which is almost a guarantee.
^ They’re not guaranteed admissions. Theres just a strong correlation between the two.
Im confused whether taking the ECE classes grants you admission, or rather that the two are correlated
