Mine changed this morning with the addition of the financial link and and a UConn email address when I hit the fa link its says could not view aid for this year
Seems very possible my son didn’t get in and those of you with e-mail addresses did. Very hard to read what any of these small changes in the student center mean, if anything. Doesn’t seem to be the right way to go about it. Decisions should come out, then changes to student center.
Have to say, from start to finish, I’m very unimpressed with UConn’s admissions process. Between how impersonal they were years ago when I visited with my daughter (went to admissions, no one to greet her, nowhere for her to sign her name on a mailing list, was basically handed a map and told “walk yourself around”) to the fact that a status would read “Your information was received on October 10th. Please check this site frequently for updates” when they had no intention of updating anything for 4-5 months to the fact that there are no decisions but all these little changes in the student account. They are giving decisions way after their peer schools, which is their right and I guess in the end doesn’t affect their yield. It’s just really disappointing and frustrating for these kids for whom this process is already very stressful.
Rant over. Best of luck to everyone. Seems like something official will come this week.
No updates for me.
I kinda think I didn’t get in at this point, i agree with you! @ncny
I would tend to agree as well. If they didnt update our profiles with campus emails and/or financial aid info I am thinking the denial letter are in the mail…
Exactly what i’m thinking! @vipper I really feel like they should have waited to update the online portal.
If you have already received your admission decision and are looking to pay your enrollment deposit, go back to the previous page (your Student Center) and click the Pay Admissions Deposit link.
If you dont have this “deposit link”, did you basically not get in ?
I do not have the deposit link but I have the scholarship link, financial aid link, transfer credits link, and the campus email.
If you have any of the following: campus email, deposit link, scholarship link, transfer credit link…I think you are pretty much in. If you have none of those things like me then I think you are looking at school option #2
I don’t have any of those, so i’m assuming i should be getting a rejection in the mail any day now…
Everybody needs to have a little patients with this process and UConn’s (and many other schools for that matter) decision announcement procedures. We went through the same thing two years ago with my older son. At that time, decisions began being made in mid-February and kept going through mid-March (just look at old CC posts).
For all of those whose Student Center page has changed and now includes a campus e-mail address, congratulations. You have most likely been accepted. For those that are still waiting, don’t give up hope. The process is on-going.
I’m sure it is very frustrating and disheartening for those not getting these little tidbits of clues. I have been following the forums of all the schools that my daughter is applying to and I have seen this same thing happen at other schools too.
It would be nice if UCONN offered early action admission. Not sure why they don’t. When you get some decisions in December and then have to wait till March/April for others, it is very frustrating!
You think there will be any decisions this week because of the updates ?
I would guess there will be more definite information very soon. 2 years ago my son got his acceptance onFeb 8th.
I would also hazard a guess that UCONN got a big jump in applications due to publicity from the NCAA bball championships for both the men and women’s teams and so it is taking longer to go through all the apps.
Have any of you signed up for ECE classes? I have and my portal was down this morning, I have the financial aid link and the email but im not sure if those were there before
I hate how everyone complains on how a college hasn’t released a decision yet. Before you applied to UConn, you should have know when the decisions come out, starting march 1st. If you hear back earlier, good for you! If you haven’t just wait and don’t complain, at least Uconn gave you a date to look forward to, unlike some other colleges I know( cough UMiami cough)
Hahaha @Paniniman soo trueee!!!
Another thing: Just called Uconn, she said that the scholarship thing was a glitch, so it might mean something. Also I asked when the decisions are coming out, she as about to say this week, but quickly changed it to starting March 1st. Hope this helps!
hey guys I have the scholarship thing and email and my file is complete but now under financial aid it has an option to apply for summer aid
@Sunnyegg17 I see that too!
Just saw the summer fin aid thing too!
