Admissions Decision

How long will it take for a Top 10 Knight to get and admissions decision once UCF receives completed app, scored & transcripts? Once accepted, when do you hear about merit?

My suggestion is to call Undergraduate Admissions. They are VERY helpful and can answer most of your questions.

I can’t say the same for the Financial Aid office. They have been useless for us – wouldn’t even answer a yes/no question about whether they received our daughter’s scholarship check.

The one additional suggestion I have involves housing. As soon as you have made a final decision to attend UCF… APPLY FOR HOUSING. I’ve seen a lot of people who waited and were disappointed.

Last year, my out of state son submitted his app via the Common App around 9/18. It took about 5 days for the common app to sync up with their system and for him to be able to get his NID number which you need to log into the my.ucf portal-- so he was able to log in to system around 9/23. He didn’t check the portal until 10/1 and saw he had been accepted. So it was a very quick turnaround for him.

First round of merit aid went out on 12/2.
