I just got in a few days ago!
My stats are 2040 SAT
4.21 GPA all A’s plus two or three B’s and pretty good EC’s.

I got a 9,300 a year merit scholarship but I’m still awaiting any need-based aid. I’m extremely in need of that since it’s such an expensive school haha but it’ll be worth it if I can go there because it is my number one choice by far!! I visited in June and LOVED it  My other top choice is Chapman university so I’m eagerly awaiting their response as well.

I got in for Leavey school of business!

SAT: 1970
LOTS OF EXTRACURRICULARS

Essays were pretty good i think

It’s now deciding between Cal Poly SLO or SCU for accounting. Any suggestions? :(

I was accepted into Leavey with a 3.75UW/4.042W GPA and a 31 on my ACT. To my surprise, I basically got a full ride. We just have to pay room and board. Is it worth turning down my admission at UMich (in-state), Tulane, hopefully USC, and Brown (deferred)? I’m really concerned about reputation.

@ireallylikecats

I would say SCU for sure!! unless you’re complaining about the tuition… Leavey is way better than Cal Poly’s business school.
I also was admitted to Leavey and want to study accounting. Maybe we’ll be classmates in the future! :)

Got accepted EA last week to the college of arts and sciences :)!

got accepted with a $20,000/year Dean’s scholarship

definately a great backup! rejected from MIT so far, deferred to Notre Dame, waiting on some Ivies and UCLA!

D’s status shows that they are waiting for the mid-year report. Is this an issue? It seems like so many have received admissions already.

D applied EA so that’s why it’s confusing that her status mentions waiting for mid-year report. To my knowledge, she hasn’t heard anything from them. No snail mail has arrived at our house saying she’s deferred and her online account just mentions the “missing” mid-year report.

Accepted to CAS with a Dean’s scholarship.

About 4.25 weighted GPA and 3.93 unweighted (from what I remember),

National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist,
A little bit of community service.

2girlzmum, I’d say definitely CALL SCU tomorrow and talk to a human. My son had a problem with the spam program used by our ISP, complicated but it turned out they were emailing us and we just were not getting the messages on our end. He called SCU and they were very helpful, fixed the issue quickly, very nice people in that office. (and yes, S got in – he is thrilled. Good luck!)

Congratulations to all who have been accepted, and will be attending. I’m the parent of a 2010 SCU grad who just LOVED the place…everything about it.
