Admissions Decisions Class of 2020

@redandblack I wouldn’t worry about it too much. A lot of my friends got accepted in the first wave back on November 20th and many of them had lower GPA’s and ACT scores than me. I have another friend with a 35 ACT and a 4.5 weighted GPA who’s still in “evaluation”. It doesn’t seem like there is much of a methodology for who gets accepted when. It isn’t by major either, because one of my friends is the same major as me and was accepted before me. I know it’s hard, but just be patient and try not to worry about it. Good luck :slight_smile:

I just got admitted into Engineering a couple minutes ago! It seems some decisions are still rolling out. I am an Ohio resident, had a 31 on ACT and applied a just a few days before the deadline. Go bucks!

Got admitted to business. From CT
3.5 GPA
1330 SAT (CR+M)

@drew1710 Snider, is that you?!

@kayleighbrown no i think you have the wrong person lol

My son was deferred, 3.51 and a 30 ACT, pretty surprised.

Dang you have the EXACT same stats as my friend whose name also happens to be Andrew/Drew. Like from ACT score to GPA to varsity soccer. The exact same! Crazy stuff lol @drew1710

Deferred- 30 ACT/3.5 GPA, similar to @NJhockeydad

@kayleighbrown wow that is crazy haha

@sberman16, @NJhockeydad,

What was the class rank? Top 10%, not in Top 10, but top 25%, or not in top 25%? This makes a big difference for Ohio State (which is unfortunate, since level of competition varies so much across schools). Anyways, hope you/your child gets in.

D was admitted today into Health Sciences!
OOS
GPA=4.0 UW
ACT=33
She submitted her application on 10/4 but her guidance counselor didn’t submit her transcript until 10/28

no not top 25%. My sons high school is very competitive, you need a 4.0 (W) to be in the top 20 percent

My school doesn’t rank @osuprof
Would technically be part of the “3rd Quintile” at my school. It’s very competitive (4.06-4.62 is “1st Quintile”)

@NJhockeydad,

Unfortunately, OSU’s goal of maintaining 95% of enrolled class being in top 25% of their high school class is working against you, sadly. Otherwise, 30 in ACT is a good score.

bummer , he should have listened to me when I got on him about his grades :slight_smile:

Still rolling out?

Any hope next week?

Got accepted today at around 3:15, submitted late October.
UW GPA: 3.5
ACT: 33
I also applied for the scholars program- what do you guys think my chance are?
Good luck to all!!

Sorry, forgot to say above. I’m a Maryland resident.

Deferred - 29 ACT/3.75 GPA All Honors/7 AP’s, Student Body President…
