Admissions Decisions Class of 2020

@cocdad he should have a gotten an email with the link.

My son has only received an email so far . . .

@amarylandmom I’m in state so it could take up to another week for you.

Thank you. That totally makes sense @Chopinspiano.

When you say got an email, what did email say?

@cocdad It said Welcome to CougarNation! It also had links for my to create a MyCharleston account and links to confirm your enrollment.

Just reviewed CofC admissions twitter, and a student who lives in NJ received her admissions decision (big letter was dated on 12/4). Has anyone else received a decision dated 12/4? Just trying to understand if second batch of decisions was sent out? Also, any decisions around: waitlists, deferrals or denials received?

@cocdad My friend received hers yesterday with the same date.

Did your friend also get an email or just a snail mail/ Also, what state is your friend in?

@cocdad In state. She got both.

So it looks like letters have been sent in 2 batches 11/30 and 12/4, has anyone else received a letter with a different date? Any intel on when they will release the next batch? Any rejections, deferrals from 2020 E

@cocdad Probably next week. Everyone is supposed to hear by the end of December. I haven’t heard anything about deferrals or rejections.

Thx…it looks like another student from wilmington nc heard today, all acceptances so far or those who haven’t been accepted don’t want to post

What are my chances? 3.0 GPA (coming from one of the hardest high schools in indiana). 27 ACT 28 superscore. 1190/1600 SAT 1770/2400 Sat. My high school’s previous acceptance record on naviance is 36/40 kids who applied got in.

@jcmiller Your test scores are within their range for out of state but your gpa is way below their range. Your essay could be the deciding factor for you.

More acceptances were received today.

Were acceptances sent this am, if so what time? Assume email? Any deferrals, rejections that you are aware of?

@cocdad Just saw this. Emails are usually sent in the morning until 3pm from what I have seen. For in-state students they usually receive their official letter the same day or ip to 2-3 days following. I think CofC mails the letters in advance so students receive them around the same time as the email though I could be wrong for out of state students.

anyone hear back from the honors college yet?
