Admissions Decisions Class of 2021

@JKacherski88 I submitted the app. I checked a few days later and it said evaluation. I changed my major and now it says applicant

Nothing on mine, guess I’m waiting 2 more weeks!

It definitely does seem that OSU is not using the same approach for releasing decisions as they did in the last two years. Therefore unless they are just late on today’s wave who knows when decisions will come out or how frequently.

MODERATOR: Can this thread be merged with the Admissions Decisions Class of 2021 thread?

This is nerve-racking!

My son has applied for early decision for 2017. Past forum discussions indicate that acceptances begin weeks before OSU’s early January date. Let’s start this discussion as people begin to hear…

Was accepted around 4:25PM.

Applied on October 25th; I am an Ohio resident. Father attended OSU and was a captain for football team, if that carries any weight (they claim it does not), mother attended, and step-mother attended.

UPDATE 4:33PM:
Status has changed from “Admitted” to “Accepted” (took around 10 mins) and I now have the option to enroll. Good luck everybody, and if you’re considering changing major before application status is reported, I would personally advise you to wait until acceptance and talk to an advisor to change in-person. Will save you much time on application and changing majors isn’t a problem once admitted. Friend of mine has changed 3 times and he’s only a freshman.

@JKacherski88 Congrats!! Are you in state or OOS?

I can’t believe how spaced out and late these are compared to normal. I wonder how late it’ll go till tonight

Just Accepted. In State.

Actually? @JKacherski88

@Meant2B In-state! Sorry for not specifying

@klb222 when did you submit your application?

So I’m guessing in-state are getting results first??

@JKacherski88 @klb222 Did you guys not check until just now or are they still updating?

Will they send you an email saying your decision is ready or do you have to just keep checking?

My son just got admitted!! We are out of state though so we need to wait on Merit Scholarships. He had a 3.97 GPA and ACT of 29.

@AFutureStudent They do send an email but I have had friends who received the physical snail mail before the email, or never get the email so online is your best bet

When should we get our second review? It says march but I’m not buying that.

My daughter submitted her application on 9/9. I checked the status around 3:30pm today and it said “evaluating.” Then I checked again around 4:15 and it said “admitted.”
