I agree with panic2017 - the post card came after filling out FAFSA, and is about financial aid not scholarships. I’ve seen nothing in the portal or buckeye email about financial aid, but have gotten a letter about scholarships.
For those who made it into the Honors program Congrats to you!..How were you Notified?
I posted before my D did get National Buckeye and Provost. Into COE, (Illinois OOS ) Top H. S. , 3.96 GPA 32 ACT 9 AP Classes and good Extras
Accepted to UIUC COE Received No Merit or anything, Accepted to Purdue COE waiting on awards and Honors.
I have big concerns about future quality of UIUC given our current state budget disaster.
Listen to this link below right out of UIUC Provost mouth for those considering UIUC

My S was notified that he got into the honors program via email from honors-scholars@osu.edu with message titled “Welcome to the Ohio State University Honors Program”. He got this on his personal email, but he has linked his buckeye email account to his personal email account, so his emails get forwarded. He’s also in engineering.
@4highkers - We visited all 3 of the universities (Ohio State, Minnesota and Wisconsin) this past summer and we relly liked Wisconsin the best. At that time, we were not aware of their policy on out of stat merit aid so assumed that all were pretty much equal. We found after the fact that they are not at all equal and while Wisconsin is still my Son’s favorite, he will go elsewhere. We live in CO and he was accepted to the local state school (Colorado State University) which is a great school, but it is just too close to home (7 miles).
Of note, we visited many universities and he applied to 11 schools with 8 accepts, 1 decline and 2 still outstanding. Wisconsin was #1 but Minnesota and Ohio State were near the top. His biggest concern with Ohio State is that they do not march his instrument (Clarinet) in the marching band and that is a very important part of his decision making.
Does anyone know when we will hear back on decisions for those of us who applied RD?
I haven’t heard anything about financial aid. I’m worried.
Are tomorrow’s decisions also for Deferred EA applicants?
Does anyone know if OSU allocates scholarship money (Trustee scholarship specifically) across various majors, or if they base the decision on grades and scores only?
@jaycbee I don’t know the answer to your question, but I hope they release that wave of scholarships soon! The wait is killing me. I emailed them and they would just say “end of February”. They waited 3 weeks between Maximus and Provost. Obviously they can’t wait that long between Provost and Trustee since that would be longer than the end of February.
I sure hope so!
Hi there. I am a RD applicant- when will I hear back and how do I check my admissions notification? Thanks.
They will mail u for the update, and u might never predict when will ur decision come
today i can not login to my account, but now is fine
Wait so they mail the decision?? Not update online??
is it possible to join the engineering honors program as a sophomore or do i have to be an honors student from freshman year?
will there be a wave today?
@normanf possibly yes
What time?
Wait for another week
HI all! I’m really stressed out waiting for my decision from Ohio state. I applied EA and I got deferred to the regular applicant pool I even met with a counselor to submit two more letters of rec and a personal letter, my stats are 3.85 UW GPA with emphasis on CP courses and 3 APS, 26 act, lots of ECs I’m an Eagle Scout, NHS, volunteer lots, and play varsity sport. I don’t have much of a back up school so I’m very anxious in waiting, could someone give me some reassurance or at least let me know what they think my chances of getting in are? Thank you!
