I have to say, this whole process is making me second guess my desire to have my son go to my alma mater. The admissions office person I spoke with tried to deny the web site states “mid-January”! Wouldn’t commit to any timing. Fortunately, my son has great offers from other really good schools that seem to actually care about prospective students. While I recognize OSU is a great school and doesn’t have to do much to attract high caliber students, I am seeing the benefits of other schools.
Has anyone else seen an update? My daughters portal still says Under Evaluation…
Hang in there @OSUDad it must be especially frustrating for you. I blame my D for not submitting her application earlier. But it will all work out. My D has great offers already so the OSU status is not a concern other than planning purposes for college tours. We’re already touring Xavier and UC and want to know if we need to dedicate time to stop by OSU as well. Hopefully OSU values legacy and you will hear some good news soon.

If the site says mid-january this must be the day cause next friday would be the end of january? I wish they would just state a date suspense is killing me.

I have yet to hear and it is 2:40 (Central Time). All I have heard is rejections thus far…I think the first wave is rejections.
Sit tight - In December they rolled out decisions throughout the night. My son was accepted at 8:15 p.m. Eastern.
Especially frustrating because the only communication we have received from OSU since he applied is asking for money! LOL
