Admissions Decisions - Class of 2022

@oreo32 I’m attending OSU, I was admitted thru EA and got a full tuition scholarship as an OOS student, Like you, I am an A/B student that got a C in Calculus on my senior year. No issues, they saw the C on my final transcript. Nobody said anything. I even dropped a class on my second semester senior year in HS to have early release, again no issues as it wasn’t a graduation requirement. Seniority hit me hard, I’m back on track in OSU as made it to the Dean’s List. So based on my experience, nothing to worry about.

@lab99 when you say you are attending, do you mean that you are a Freshman there now or are planning to attend?

I’m currently attending OSU.

@lab99 Thank you so much! That’s SUCH a relief to hear! I’m also OOS and received a full tuition scholarship so thoughts about them taking that away were also creeping up on me. What are you majoring in?

Has anyone heard anything in regard to admissions today? Just because usually they happen on fridays.

@Fafjoe22 I received my admission decision today.

I received mine today too. Do you know when we will find out about aid?

@collegelehigh I heard that Financial Aid would be communicated by the end of March.

Did you apply for early or did you apply for Early or Regular decision? If you don’t mind me asking? My daughter applied and she hasn’t heard anything yet

My son applied Early Action.

Does anyone know if there will be admission decisions released next Friday? For deferred applicants.

When did you apply? I’d you don’t mind me asking @futuretraveler

Interesting…my son just spoked to the admissions rep for our area at school this week and he was told that if he got accepted he would indeed get the merit. He has a 1430 on his SAT and our hs does rank. The admissions rep said last that was not the case, but there year he should get it because his score far exceeded the threshold. He was EA deferred in December.

@boilerup17 interesting indeed!! I had all but given up (I’m the parent). Son was deferred EA in late January.

Rejected: 3.01 GPA, 1240 (640 english 600 math) oos. I had solid grade trends 2.45/3.0/3.56 and then senior year first semester a 3.7 or so. Common app essay was very strong so were my ECs. I didnʻt expect to get in tbh but was a bummer bc I got two rejections within an hour from both of my reach schools. Congrats to everyone who got in!

@kkarssenn Did you hear today, the 12th?

@Boilerup17 Congratulations on the acceptance! I’m must stay that I’m surprised that your local admissions rep said that it was guaranteed merit because throughout this process every admissions person told us that nothing is guaranteed even if you qualify. My son was admitted in the first wave back in Nov, offered an invitation to Business Scholars but did not receive any merit although he far surpassed the requirements. Are you in-state or out of state? I was also informed that as of the end of February all merit money was distributed. Wishing you good luck!

Does anyone have any idea when deferred students might be notified. I am thinking that it will likely be on Mar 23 or will it be later than that?

Applied at mid-December. No decision yet.

@EncinitasJAK since deferred students become a part of Regular decisions it could be any time between now and May 1st depending on space availability.
