I know people who were deferred who have been accepted
might just be me, but I was deferred and it says that my decision will be out by the end of march on my account.
@rudebowskinator my son said he got that same message. But EA applicants were promised a decision by mid January. Son received his deferral on 1/26, which I think most would agree is not by mid January. So not having a decision until April wouldnāt surprise me a bit.
The fact that there are two Fridays left in March makes me feel more optimistic that all deferred EA applicants could really have their decisions by monthās end. I was thinking there was just one
I called tOSU admissions to see when deferred applicants would receive a decision. The lady I spoke with said they are running behind because of the high percentage of applicants and therefor they will be sending decisions March 31. I hate waiting!

@rugby1562 There is a roommate search group on Facebook called The Ohio State University Class of 2022 Roommate Search. There are also groups for Scholars programs. Besides that, Iām unaware of any groups for things outside of finding roommates or anything specifically for new students (there are ppl in the aforementioned group that are going into their sophomore year).
Has anyone heard back from them today? OSU is the only school Iām waiting on and itās Friday so I was just wondering.

Does anyone have any knowledge as to why I am getting notifications on this site when my son did not even apply to Ohio State and suddenly Iām getting notifications from this thread? Does anyone know how I can turn them off? By the way good luck to all of you.

@flsenior2010 No he in no way is discouraged. To be honest I donāt even think heās checking the portal for OSU. As I told you after he applied at the last second on December 29 as a spur of the moment decision to do so, he then realized that doing so for him itās probably not a smart idea because he knows that a large campus such as OSU would not be beneficial to him and he would not be successful there which is why he didnāt even bother having his AC T scores sent there.
@simple0920 Aaargh youāre right. I guess this is what my mother used to call having CRS canāt rememberā¦ I totally forgot that he had thatās right at the last second applied and then didnāt even bother following through to have his AC T score sent there because he realized for him because of his academics that he would not even come close to it was a silly move on his part. But I definitely didnāt keep posting until I just started seeing these notifications showing up today. But thank you for reminding me. We totally brushed it out of my mind when he admitted that he never had his test score sent. This is what happens when you become an old lady LOL. My apologies.

Both parents are alumni, brother graduates May 6 from OSU. Sister is current sophomore at OSU.
And Mom works at OSU (half off tuition benefit!)
