Admissions decisions for fall 16

Has anyone received a decision yet? It looks like
Admissions started calling applicants at the end of October last fall…

Nothing, although test scores only arrived at the end of Oct. He did get two calls checking in and telling him he was missing items. Curious what the turn around will be now that all is complete.

I received a package letter with acceptance today. Thought, I’m a St. Louis local so I may have gotten it earlier than most…

@Zorbinger When did you submit your app?

I got the call today! Accepted and got the Vice President’s scholarship.

That’s awesome! What are your stats?

My DS got his acceptance last week. Received Vice President Scholarship! GPA 3.62 UW 3.76 W
ACT: 33 (one sitting)

Acceptance packet came in the mail today. Admitted to John Cook School of Business accounting program and received Ignatian scholarship. GPA 3.3 UW, ACT 27. Application was submitted 10/31

Got accepted yesterday. Received the university scholarship.

@CAMidwestMom Haha sorry for the super late reply.

I submitted toward the end of October. I had a GPA of 3.92 and ACT of 32, got accepted with the Jesuit high school scholarship and the vice-president scholarship to the John Cook School of Business focusing on Finance.

I don’t know what is going on with my son’s app. Submitted in September and test scores were sent 10/28. Seems like he should’ve heard by now.

Accepted!
I got a call about 2 weeks ago. GPA: UW 3.49 W 3.84
SAT 1: 1710
Not sure which scholarship but it was $14,000
Accepted to the Neuroscience program

Does everybody get accepted directly to their program or only some? I wasn’t sure if their was a distinction.

I wasn’t sure if there* was a distinction.

I don’t know but when my son got the call they specifically said ‘you are directly admitted to the business school.’ He also got the $14k award, which we appreciate. However, it is the smallest award to date and barely makes a dent in the cost of attending SLU. Don’t mean to sound ungrateful. Thankful we have several good options!!

Got vice president scholarship as well.
ACT: 30
GPA weighted: 4.03

(Update to post #6) Son just got a letter upping his vice presidential scholarship to $20k/yr!

Accepted into College of Engineering (Biomed track), University scholarship of $16k per year (going to apply for MLK scholarship as well). 3.5 GPA, 29 ACT, a few AP/Honor classes, went to a local competitive all-girls school so I think the admissions team favors graduates from my school~

Son also got letter upping his vp scholarship. Was this across the board? Son did not apply for presidents scholarship.

We got a letter upping son’s scholarship by $2k. Interesting that they are doing this. It’s still the lowest award, but it’s nice that they have the $$ to add to people’s scholarships. Is anyone actually planning to go to SLU? My son is probably going out of state.

With the $20,000 scholarship, it puts SLU in line with our in state university (Illinois) and Indiana University’s out of state scholarship awards. We haven’t heard from any other schools yet. It makes SLU a viable option. Yes, I cannot believe anyone would pay full boat for SLU.
