Anyone heard anything yet? Yes or no, say when you heard and what your SAT/ACT and GPA were. Also, if you think anything else had an impact, say that.

nothing yet. So nervous…

Hello! There is a lot of admissions discussion on the general USC forum http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/ (scroll down below the year-specific section). The bulk of the decisions are expected to be sent out the end of next week. Candidates for the Trustee and Presidential scholarships, as well as Bacc/MD candidates heard in late January http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/1074764-usc-fall-2011-stats-only-decisions.html?highlight=stats+only . There are many more scholarships yet to be awarded.

Good luck!

I think people are expecting to get decisions in about a week or so. That seems to be the general consensus around here.

BTW, congrats alamemom on post 4,000!

THANKS! Ha! I didn’t even notice until you mentioned it . I should probably retire from college confidential at this point… you can answer all the questions next November/December - you were the most organized applicant this year and already know it ALL.

Geeze, I was really hoping the LA-area kids would be reporting packages today… I am ready for some excitement on our sleepy forum.

No problem alamemom, it was my pleasure :)

You can’t go though, there will be plenty of lost '16-ers in a few more months who will need your help and advice. You should really become the section moderator here, I’m not sure how this section could run without you - especially seeing as how it will blow up in activity hopefully soon.

This next week is going to remind me a lot of December - frantically rushing home to check my mail after school - except I have track practice now after school. The anticipation is killing me.

I got accepted back in early February because I was in the running for a half merit scholarship! :)

SAT
Math: 780
Reading: 660
Writing: 670

GPA: 3.812
Weighted: 6.12

I’m so nervous!!! still haven’t gotten anything!!!

any word on when we’re supposed to receive news??

By April 1st ;)

lol…
right, yes…
any rumored actual release date? instead of just a ‘before ___’ date?

There’s a rumor going around that decisions will actually be sent out tomorrow… :)

I heard that they’re sending out a batch of notifications tomorrow, but that could just be wishful thinking.

There are several discussions about the mailing date on the general forum below the year-specific section.

The general consensus on the blogosphere is that the mailing will be tomorrow!!! but this is all just speculation (although there have been reports of multiple admissions representatives ascertaining that tomorrow is the mail date)

oh cheezits. D:

tomorrow…okay, by email or snail mail??

sorry guys, I’m a little bit lazy to check out the other threads haha

Snail mail only. Makes the wait even more excruciating!

Lolleen,
They come by “snail mail”.
If you are ACCEPTED - your package will be sent via USPS Priority Mail (express) and should arrive at your house in 1-3 business days (by friday)
If you are REJECTED (I wish you luck and I hope you are accepted) - your package will be sent via USPS First Class Mail (standard) and it should arrive in 3-8 business days, probably by mid next week. I hope nobody has to worry about rejection and we all get accepted!

OH POOP. thank you everyone for the info!!

i’m not expecting to get into USC, but some good news (after getting rejected from UCLA and UCSD) would be amaaaaaaazing (but what are the odds after that? lol)

best of luck to everyoneeee :D
