Hi everyone – are merit awards coming out with the online decision or only via snail mail?

@Massmommy I have a ‘New Admit Scholarship Acceptance’ link but when I click on it, the amount doesn’t show up. Some other people had that problem as well. I just received my acceptance letter in the mail today and I found out I got a $15,000 scholarship! I think it’s best to wait for the letter. For some reason, some people can’t view their scholarship or FA money online =/

Did anyone who was accepted receive two emails from UCONN about activating and setting up your HuskyCT and University email accounts? I received it this morning. Thought they were closed today though…

I have yet to hear back. Does anyone know if it is by March 1st that all decisions are made? Does anyone also know the in state acceptance rate? Thanks.

I got accepted to honors, but only got the $5000 scholarship associated with honors… Is it possible that more is coming? I feel like I’m academically qualified for some additional aid…

I got in with a 1870 SAT and 3.76 GPA and I’m instate. I got the $5000/year scholarship too :)

@cloudnine. Congrats, when did you hear?

Has anyone heard anything yet this week? I haven’t heard yet but many classmates have.

My son applied in November and got the email notice on 2/11. He then learned online that he was accepted but no other info. Today he got the snail acceptance letter that says he got $15,000 per year for Leadership Scholarship. He needs to maintain 2.5 GPA to keep it for the future years. He is OOS. His older brother got the exact same offer 3 years ago. He ended up going to Temple U. as they were very generous with their scholarships for him.

I got accepted as a pre-journalism major!
3.82 UW GPA
1950 SAT
In state
applied mid December

Sent from my HTC PH39100 using CC

will they not post it online if you’re denied?

Admitted to Storrs as a psychology major! I’m from Connecticut.

1360/2050 SAT (720 CR, 640 M, 690 W)
3.8 W GPA
Decent amount of EC’s, good teacher recs, good essay

Congrats to those admitted and best of luck to those still waiting!

I know a lot of people say that it was posted online that they got accepted but has anyone seen it posted online that they got denied?

My sats suck… 1480 3 part superscore
but…
-3.6 W GPA
-tons of extracurriculars including class president, chairperson of 4 blood drives (The max I could’ve done), manager of school store, on a advisory board with our congressmen, national honor society, national world language honor society, played on sports teams, managed sports teams…and believe it or not, a bunch more.
-honors classes
-college level courses
-amazing recommendations
-accepted everywhere else I applied
…yet i’m still freaking out
what are my chances?

@Nick

Where else have you been accepted? I’m not trying to be overly harsh, but your SAT doesn’t look good. Your GPA could be better, but you have a lot of good extracurriculars. I can see it going either way. No one can tell you with certainty “you’re in” or “no, you’re not in, sorry” except for the university itself.

Also, I haven’t seen or heard from anyone saying they got denied yet.

@Gotopshelf I got accepted to Western Connecticut state. Western New England. Wagner college. University of new haven. All with generous scholarships.

Still waiting too Nick. The only thing I can see in my way is my 1740 on SATs…all honors and AP courses…GPA and ECs excellent. Great offers from WNE, UNE, Assumption, MCPHS. of course, I do have my heart set on UCONN. My classmate got her acceptance last week. The only place she exceeds me is SATs…no AP courses and limited honors courses.

Hey, there’s still hope for us but this waiting stinks.

Congrats to your son. Just curious what his math SAT was? Thanks.

Waiting stinks is an understatement. Best of luck to you @elynn02

Crean184 - not sure if you were asking me for my son’s math SAT. I guess I was the last one that reported on my son’s acceptance to UConn… He SAT was 760M, 670CR, 670W.
