Does anyone know when we are supposed to receive admissions decisions from Notre Dame??
My brother got his acceptance letter to ND on Saturday, March 23, 2013 (he’s currently enrolled there to graduate in 2017). We should be getting our letters possibly Saturday, March 21? That’s my guess, as I heard people started getting them Saturday, March 22 last year. I’m thinking they’ll mail them out on Friday the 20th. Also the date you get it depends on where you live of course!

@SephardicJewESA, Congrats ! Was this likely an actual email acceptance? I had heard they email acceptances to international students. Did they say you are likely to be accepted or actually accepted? Just curious about likelies…were they inviting you to a recruitment event? Were they concerned snail mail would take too long? Sorry for all of the questions! Like I said, just curious about what they were telling you. Again, congrats!

It was an invite for the The Hesburgh International Scholars Experience (HISE) by email and it says that:
“The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has reviewed your application, and although a final decision has not been made, we are convinced of your likely admission to the University of Notre Dame.”

I’m from NYC, so when do you think my ND admission letter will arrive? Can I call them when they made a decision?
@hobo65 I’m MA. Looking at the REA thread, it seems that it takes a while for the letters to get to the Northeast. I’d expect 3-4 days after they said they mailed them. I don’t know whether you can call or not.
Any prediction on mailing date?
I was told decisions will be sent via mail by April 10th; I am an applicant from the northeast

@durant15 That won’t be the case. They say that as a buffer if they are ever behind on making decisions. Last year the first RD post was on 3/22
@lfgomide IDK (I hope so), but I was previously invited to visit Penn. Hopefully I will be able to attend both.

I’m worried for RD applicants this year. The same amount of EA applicants were admitted this year, but with the REA program I think that there will be a higher matriculation rate for EA accepted students - which would mean less RD admittances.
Actually, there were between 5 and 6 hundred fewer EA applicants admitted this year vs. last year.
