Admissions Decisions

@Admission371 You’re welcome! Good luck! With a little bit of it for the both of us, we might both be at ND next year! :slight_smile:

Can anyone describe how the acceptance and denial/waitlist envelope looks like?

Denial/waitlist = small envelope (standard envelope).

Acceptance = large envelope (8 1/2 by 11).

I don’t have a link but I remember reading that letters are all sent out together. I agree with skipper26, there’s a whole host of reasons why things do not travel as quickly in the mail. Best of luck to everyone!

so there are no acceptances to report? does that mean that if we live say half way across the country we shouldn’t expect anything (negative or positive) by tomorrow? More a Tuesday or Wednesday thing?

Quoting Uncle Vernon from Harry Potter, “No post on Sundays!” :slight_smile:

If mail could reach you in two days from South Bend, it wouldn’t be delivered Sunday. Some may get it tomorrow, most likely the Midwest plus some states to the east and west within a certain distance. Others it may take a few days. I hope something gets here tomorrow though… I can’t handle it

Does anyone know what time they’re sending out the e-mail for international applicants?

The admissions office opens at 8am and it doesn’t really matter whether they send out the e-mail in the afternoon since they’re only being sent to international applicants…

Didn’t receive my decision today. Anybody receive theirs?

@LittlePavs‌ Where do you live?

@phoenixmomof2 Missouri.

@LittlePavs‌ Rats! Guess we’ll wait another day.

I’m not sure if letters are sent by priority mail, but this may be helpful.

https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/ Notre Dame zip code is 46556

It would also may explain why @LittlePavs‌ hasn’t heard yet (depending on which area he lives in).

Mail came today already. Nothing from ND. We are in Connecticut.

D received rejection letter today in Minneapolis.

@CrazyMomof3 I’m assuming northeast wont be receiving it today?

Nothing in Indiana…

@tshillz‌ I hope so but I don’t think so. The map someone posted said that the northeast (I’m in the Boston area) would be 2 day but if people didn’t get letters in the Midwest then I don’t think we would get them either

Rejected I got 2100 with an 800 on math and 680 on CR. Well I guess scores aren’t everything. Best of luck guys.

Accepted. Go Irish

@waitingtohere I agree. I must say, this is very nerve racking.
