So apparently decisions are coming out now. My mom just got mine in the mail today, but I live in San Diego so it might take other people a little while.
But since most colleges have a decision thread, we should start one.

Waitlisted
Sat: 1510
Sat2s: 780/770/770
Gpa:4.1
great essays, good teacher recs
Tons of leadership in lots of ECs

Anyone know how many people are on the waitlist and how many they take on average?

Last year only 5 got off the waitlist and that was the first year in awhile they used the waitlist. My D has lower scores then both of you so I do not expect good things . She did get into pepperdine today. She should get her letter Mon. Good luck to both of you!

Wow...most of you guys have similar stats as mine so I feel kind of bad saying this, but...accepted!

SATs: 1540
SAT 2s: 750, 750, 800
GPA: 4.0 UW
Recs: good
Essays: good (or at least I think so...)
ECS: good (newspaper editor, Youth group leader)

oooooooh crap? are you kidding me? im going to kill myself on monday if i dont get a letter....oh im afraid of that rejection/waitlist sooooo much. especially because everyone waitlisted has better stats that i do... :( :( :(

Don't panic yet, Kosuke. Stats don't show the intangibles. Some of the students posting above may not have thought of Pomona as their first choice school. Colleges have ways of divining these things.

SAT: 1470
SAT 2: 730,710,700
GPA: 4.2
Good consistency with similar debate-related EC's (leadership/awards in all)
Good recs i think, but i've written better essays than the ones i sent to Pomona. However i felt my interview was the best i had for any school

In all honesty, a spot on the waiting list was a step up from the rejection i expected

Congratulations to all who were accepted! It is an awesome school!

I was accepted. I have very similar stats to all of you guys, but I'm in the Midwest and my parents didn't go to college...I know that was probably the deciding factor.
