Admissions Decisions

i remember this two years ago when i was told on CC that admissions were up. such a long time ago, i feel old.

i freaked because it was earlier than normal!

good luck everyone!

haha at least you had work to occupy your time, i was at spring break all week sitting on front of my computer refreshing browsers on Cal and UCLA... you can't really enjoy your break when you get rejected by UCSD the weekend before and have to spend a whole week waiting for decisions that if you get rejected in both you have to go to UCR or something :(

lol 2 years ago i heard about UCLA admissions decisions through a note my friend posted on myspace...
tells you how much i wasn't really planning to go here, seeing as i wasn't checking the website compulsively =P

Well, I guess you're too good for us aren't you? What, I bet you almost chose Berkeley, didn't you? So much for "Go Bruins 2010! Colorguard! Etc. Etc."

Frankly, I don't care.

almost chose berkeley?

i thought you knew me better than that! dude... cal was just depressing, IMO. and waaay too close to home.

you, who fled as far as possible away from your home, oughta relate ;)

^Hopefully I'll get my acceptance soon and flee from the Bay as well -.-' this place is so boring >_>

^ I miss the bay area for some reason. :/

^ which city?

^ I live in the bay area too.

^^ Cupertino/SJ area. What about you? And you, Castel?

^Tri-Valley area. Nothin' to do but movies over hither t.t

You never know. You may hate the Bay Area now, but once you leave, you just might start missing it :)

lol i didn't think i'd miss it, but now that i'm here and now that my family is moving out of state... yah. you always want what you can't have.

danville may have been boring as heck, but i still miss some parts of it. and i'm always gonna love the city by the bay, cliche as it is. so enjoy being home! looking back, you'll see the good parts of where you are :)

Hehe I'll try to remember that - thanks for the heads up

There's a rumor that UCLA decisions will be out next week according to a CC member. Check UCSD's CC page and click on the thread called " decisions" link: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-san-diego/471202-decisions.html
Foxiechick9: "LA is posting theirs next week"
I hope this is true, because the anxiety is already killing me! I doubt it though!

never count on the rumors it'll just make you worry more... count on it coming out on march 31st... so if it comes before that it'll be a nice happy surprise...

PAUSSEEE, i have a question!

if you're accepted into ucsd, does that mean you've been rejected by UCLA? or like, did SD accept you because LA rejected you? cause my friend got rejected by SD last year and was accepted to LA, so he hypothesized that SD knew that LA was accepting him, so SD rejected him. THUS, i keep thinking that because SD accepted me, that LA has already rejected me??

someone please reassure me that i'm just thinking too much =(

yes you are thinking to much i have friends who got into both!!!

so for now celebrate ur admission to san diego and wait for LA, who knows more good news could be around the corner!

The whole myth about UC's rejecting you because others have accepted is just that, a myth.
I got into SD, LA, and Berkeley, as did many of my friends. They all operate independently, and could not care less about what the others do with you.

dude, do you seriously think that each UC, which is already swamped enough with applications to begin with, has spare time to say:

UCSD: hey UCLA, are you accepting applicant so-and-so?
UCLA: yah, he's cool, and i'm assuming he'd come here if he gets in, so don't even bother accepting him. he's mine, i tell you!!!

i mean, seriously...
