The woman on the phone AND the girl on the online chat told me that admissions are rolling and that people start hearing as early as November. However in other places I’ve heard we have to wait till December.

Oh jeeze! Well, my “senior calendar” says the 5th, but when I got to their overview of OSU, it says the 1st of December. So either way, it’ll be in December. :)

Last year my daughter received her admissions in very early December.
Someone from admissions called her to let her know she was admitted.
Nice touch!!

Someone we know just got his notification of admission today. So maybe it depends some on how early you applied now. Last year I got my e-mail about 3 weeks after I sent my app, it was around the second week of December.

My son learned he was admitted yesterday (online status indicated “Admitted”)…he was overwhelmed with happiness and even got a little teary! His application was complete with all necessary components in mid-September. We were surprised, too, that the decision was released prior to December 1!

My daughter applied in mid-August and her status is still under evaluation. Her package wasn’t complete until late September. It would be interesting to understand the processing queue order. Hopefully, we’ll all hear something on the 5th. Although it would be nice to hear something earlier.

Same here, I everything was completed mid to late sept 17,18,19 somewhere in there and mine still says evaluation. However I am skeptical ill make it to columbus seeing as how im going for first year engineering and my test scores are a little below avg. math (28 or 29) comp (25). I am really anxious, i check it like 5 times a day!!!

Ohh, if you want to can you guys post your indicated major and stats. Nothing major just gpa and test scores and such for reassurance or anxiety for the rest of us.

My status on the web says “acceptance” since Wednesday. I don’t know if it means I’m admitted.
I sent all of my documents on Oct. 30, so it was earlier than I expected.
I’m Ohio resident, 29 ACT and uw GPA around 3.6. I also recieved three 5’s and one 4 on my AP tests.

About Nov 20. HS transcript and SAT score in around Nov 20. They seems wait for some other documents. But status change to evaluation this morning. It seems they review the applications and waived some documents.
SquattingDog10 : when your application status changed to “evaluation”
OSU started to release decision ?

Not quite sure what the question is that you are asking but ill try to answer it the best i can. According to collegeboard the official release of admission decisions is dec 1st and thereafter on a rolling basis. I gave my counselor form to my counselor very early like august and asked him/her to send it out is early as possible. My app was officially submitted per appstatus.osu.edu on sept 6. OSU had a past act and sat score (mediocre like 1140 or 1160) and i took the sept act (again mediocre like 25 but like 29 in math, major first year engr). So anyway my status has said evaluation since early september but did not recieve my best score until late sept (like 20-25th). I still have not recieved a decision so im expecting an offer to go to a regional campus. (which in that case i would not even consider)

I hope that answered what question you had! and good luck to you and your son!

Also still on evaluation. Applied late October (around the 20th). Application went into ‘evaluation’ on November 13th. I really hope I get in, It’s my #1 school. Not to high-jack the thread, but does anyone know of acceptances with similar stats as me (3.2 gpa/28ACT/good essay/great EC’s)???

uh yea in fact i do. one of my friends had a 3.1 and a 29 act and they got in at columbus, however i do believe they were undecided as their major. I am pretty sure they applied right at thanksgiving. So i think your good. I have also noticed OSU is a kind of lenient with the gpa and a little stricter with the act. I have a 3.83 gpa UW and a 25 and im a little unsure if i will make it to columbus.
