<p>what the hell is with ohio state. (im still waiting, deferred, but according to these stats, I have no chance) idk how many people have been rejected with 3 or 4 higher points on the act and close but a little lowere gpa. You are not Yale or Princeton…</p>

<p>@APineiro - I saw your stats on another board…although it def. sucks to get rejected, you are lucky to have gotten into wisconsin and illinois.</p>

<p>squatting, if you got deferred then you still have a chance, actually a pretty good chance, most deferred students get admitted to OSU, it’ll just depend on how many people decide to go to OSU, and your major!</p>

<p>hblock–your stats are similar to my S and also OOS hispanic. I can’t compare ACT with SAT very well but he had a 2200 on his SAT so that may have helped. He was admitted in Dec but applied in early Nov. If you haven’t heard you may want to inquire where you are in the process. I suspect a big part of what seems to be widely divergent results for students is their HS curriculum–state schools have a hard time comparing GPAs from different HS and know that test scores aren’t the best indicator either so they seem to be looking at kids taking a fair number of AP classes and passing the exams.</p>

<p>I… I think I was just… admitted. Went to the appstatus and where it used to say “Evaluation”, it changed to “Admitted”. I had to log out and log back in to be sure I wasn’t hallucinating.</p>

<p>and scanlon92, i dont have any real stats for OSU… because every school is different, but i was reading a few articles on being deferred and they said at most big schools deferred kids get in… the reason is because so many kids that get accepted use these bigger schools for safety schools and once they decline and go to a better school, slots are open, thus getting deferred kids accepted…</p>

I hope you get in. I still keep going back to the appstatus website, hoping that it wasn’t just a mistake. OSU was my #1 choice. I had already gotten over not getting in and having to go to my safety. lol</p>
