Admissions Decisions?

So I looked back through this forum and it looks like everyone got emails on March 27th. I called the admissions office the other day with a different question but also asked how we would be receiving admissions decisions. They said we would be receiving physical mail on April 1st?

Anyone know if this is what they always say but surprise us with the early email?
I'm just curious because I'm going to Europe for spring break and will be gone over the 27th. I want to know if I should bring a laptop to check email because I simply cannot wait to hear back!

Bring your laptop!!!
My daughter who is a freshman this year @ Pepperdine
received her e-mail acceptance on March 18th!

Good-Luck! :)

Pepperdine is a wonderful school!

I pasted a copy of her e-mail…

OFFICE OF ADMISSION
March 18, 2009

Congratulations! I am pleased to offer you admission to Seaver College of Pepperdine University for the Fall 2009 semester. Your application has been carefully reviewed by the Admission Committee, and based on your impressive record of achievement, we are excited to welcome you to Pepperdine.

I got an email saying that I will receive my decision through email on April 1, and I had a completed application on the day of the deadline, January 15. I hope they can send sooner because I can’t wait that long!

The date last year also said April 1, so I was shocked when i received earlier.

This is how it happened last year: Acceptances were in the first wave of emails, my friends who didn’t get accepted or got waitlisted were emailed at a later time.

sweetness. well i just applied also to pepperdine but my application still says incomplete and i submitted everything on time! should i be worried…?

Dont be worried. We called last year and they said every year it takes weeks and weeks for everything to be “posted” to your wavenet. It is a super busy time in Admissions. Good luck to all who applied, Pepperdine is a wonderful school!!!

okay! i was too scared to call because it probably being busy for them. thank you! i think i can relax a little more… :)

I received mine March 18 last year via e-mail.

Was your financial aid package included with your acceptance email, or did that come later?

Last year my daughter’s Financial Aid Package came early April.
It gives you a very short period of time to decide which school you should choose from your accepted list.
Good Luck to ALL of this year’s applicant’s, Pepperdine is a wonderful school and we feel blessed our daughter attends. :)

Did any of you guys receive an email this morning saying you are invited to an admitted students reception? I’m guessing if you got this email, you got accepted. I didn’t get the email though :frowning: mannnn…

I didn’t get that email either :frowning: did anyone else?

I didn’t get the email either. But that might not mean anything… hopefully

Don’t Panic…My daughter who is a current Freshman at Pepperdine did not receive this “admitted students reception” email last year either. I remember last year at this time she was in the same situation as all of you “waiting to hear” applicants. We also noticed on this site other applicant’s who had received that particular email last year and my daughter had not…but she still got in!
Pray, pray, pray…God has a plan for each and everyone one of you out there!

thanks for the clear up Momto4inSoCal!

Just wondering, but do you know if in the decision email, it states your admission decision right there in the message box or do they make you click a link in order to view your decision? Also, what was the subject line? Lol sorry…just really curious…

I went back and looked at the actual email my daughter received from Pepperdine on March 18th. (she “forwarded” it to her proud mom :))

The subject line of the email…

“Seaver College Admission Decision”

So you have to open that email for the admission decision!

Good Luck to all, I know this is a very exciting, stressful and anxious time for all you college applicant’s, just remember “All things work together for a purpose”.
God has a master plan for your life.
Trust Him. :)

Ah ok thank you for that Momto4inSoCal. My heart literally skips a beat whenever I check my email. sigh…so nervous…

Oh man, I cannot wait for admissions decisions!
I’m so excited and nervous!!

Me too, I really cannot think about ANYTHING else! March 18th is soooo soon! Ahhh

I thought that Pepperdine’s decision would come on April 1st?
