I think the main reason why there are so many Engineering admits is because OSU said they wouldn’t consider you for engineering if you applied past the November 1st deadline. Thus, most other majors have the option to wait until January.
My app still says it’s under evaluation.
Some schools use actual percentages instead of gpa. I only know this because my husband’s hs did it this way. As in, your grade on a 100 scale. Percentage correct overall. So 97/100 is really great.

Don’t be discouraged I have heard from many who still say eval and they have Hugh scores and gpas. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the waves…
@nrsebayer lol I have a mediocre gpa but high sat (3.35/3.57 and 1500 w/ 790M)
I am hoping to agree with @nrsebayer. Personally, I know that DD should still be very well in the game based on admits so far, but also know how crazy these things can get.
My son applied to the honors program. osu is not on his list of top choices but a safety school. We are in state, his gpa is 4.0 unweighted with 11 APs over 4 years. ACT 35 with a 36 superscore. He submitted his application on 10/20.

If my son’s app was marked complete on 9/17 does anyone think he could still get accepted tonight or are the ones being accepted just passed his date?

@osu4444 I do not think the submission date matters-it seems to be random. I would keep checking tonight but have faith for the next wave or 2 if you do not hear tonight!
Last year people were also being deferred during the first wave. Haven’t seen any post that yet today.
