Admissions Discussion/Decisions - Class of 2023

ADMITTED TO COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING!!

If you get a decision, please post your stats and if you’re instate or out of state

@XzarPak actually, it’s more competitive to get into OSU if you’re instate, especially if you’re from Central Ohio.

Good Amazing Awesome Positive Luck I’ve also been anxiously waiting and hopefully we all hear amazingly great prosperous news tonight, I’m really hoping so since I just got out of the hospital and think I finally have all my medical problems cleared up. However, If you don’t find out don’t stress as they basically HAVE to tell us next week/weekend lol. GUCCI LUCK MI FAMILIA
And if you don’t get in best of luck with all your other colleges(I probably won’t get into main so you won’t be alone)
Also what is the difference between getting deferred, waitlisted and rejected.
THANKS FAMMMMM

@SiglerOSU2019 Thanks! I also just got back from the hospital and found out I have to have surgery. An acceptance would for sure make me super happy!

@XzarPak @Student7474 I posted earlier that my portal still says application is being considered and it has not changed to evaluation. What is the likelihood that I will get a decision today?

@Andie8172 No one can know for sure what that means, your best best is to call admissions.

okay so for the first time ever it says decision instead of evaluation and i’m too scared to open it

@SiglerOSU2019 your last post just made me smile! Good luck to you as well. My D makes me check because she’s so nervous, but I’m nervous too! YIKES!!

You can do it!!! @Itsfranziska Mine still says evaluation, I’m in state.

“Application Status
We regret to inform you that you have not been admitted to The Ohio State University. You will receive further information”
i think i just experienced my first heartbreak. it’s okay though, still rootin for my boys every saturday!!
good luck to everyone still waiting for their decisions and congratulations to everyone who got in!!

Awe I’m so sorry to hear @Itsfranziska . Did you select a branch campus and then you can transfer?

Last year EA decisions came 1/19 and 1/26. They promised by the end of January, so anything before that is a gift. Honors and scholarship decisions come later, and there is no way of knowing when. Deferral means you are fully considered with the rest of regular applicants, and many do eventually get accepted.

@Itsfranziska I like that you will be rooting for your boys every Saturday. Sorry you weren’t admitted.

@equationlover i did not. i might do two years community college here in MD and then transfer.

@Andie8172 if you applied by November 1st and this is possibly the last wave, then you will get a decision tonight. My freind applied before me and he still hasn’t gotten a decision, but his says evaluation. So I don’t know what to say lol. Let’s just hope that they get them all out today!

Has anyone from in state heard back yet? I am still under evaluation.

@XzarPak Yeah I submitted my application in September and I still have not heard. Who even knows what’s happening at this point

Do they send an email saying that a decision has been made or do you have to keep checking buckeye link?

@Arryrl From what I’ve heard, they send an email, but they do that later. To know ASAP, you need to check the portal.

@@Itsfranziska i’m sorry…that just sucks…mine still says evaluation. what happens when a decision is made? does it switch from “evaluation” to “decision” and then you have to click on it for it to change to "admitted, deferred or decline?
