Admissions Discussion/Decisions - Class of 2023

Friend just got in

OOS
unweighted 3.4
weighted: 4.05
ACT:28
around 4:30pm

i still have not heard back, applied business administration- OOS

Why are the only people who heard back the people who got a 28/29?

My son was accepted today with a 28 ACT 4.0, and his friend with a 29 also accepted today. Both in-state. A friend with a 27 hasn’t heard yet. Holistic evaluations are their way to cover themselves. Clearly, candidates are sorted somehow, this seems to be one batch.

This is extremely frustrating! Still in evaluation, anyone else in the same situation?

I am! ? I’m OOS (New York)

@oj2018 me!! Annoying!!

@kesnyder5 I’m OOS (NJ). Didn’t see any NJ/NY decisions maybe they are rolling out decisions by states or something. The way they release decisions is certainly not random.

@Jg3452 are you OOS too?

No, in state, sorry

Its beginning to look like this wave may be over, I have not seen a post with a time admitted past 4:30. It’s only been 4 working days including today since the last wave. It would stand to reason there are not as many as previous waves. Looks like next Thursday is “D” day!

Did people even hear back on January 31 last year?

nothing…I feel completely hopeless at this point :frowning:

Yes

I am extremely upset with OSU’s method of releasing decisions. And for those who keep saying January 31 is what was promised, I think we all understand that January 31st was the promised deadline for release of EA decisions. They really need to find a different way of releasing decisions because the way they release decisions now gives many applicants a false sense of hope and only causes stress and disappointment. It would be nice if they were more clear about when each applicant can expect to get a decision. Especially those who have been waiting since August/ September. I can’t deny this is making me lose hope of having a chance at an acceptance. :frowning:

another pointless week of waiting…great.

Just went back to the Class of 2022 decision thread. There were no decisions released January 31.

what does that mean for those of us who have yet to receive any decision?
