Is it more difficult to be accepted into the Engineering school or just the regular undergraduate school?

bump, im curious as well

Princeton doesn’t accept people specifically into the engineering or regular undergraduate programs…

See third to last question here:
[Princeton University | The Application Process](http://www.princeton.edu/admission/applyingforadmission/faq/the_application_process/)

its still a bit unclear, because they are considered differently, which can make one more difficult…

Well they make you write another essay if you want to go for engineering so there has to be a difference regardless of what they say. Doesn’t there?

I would think engineering might be slightly easier since less people want to go for engineering.

Princeton’s engineering choice is fairly non-binding. I loved the engineering essay though. My common app and the regular Princeton one were fairly generic, while in my engineering one I could really let loose and show my personality and my passion, which imo is a huge plus.

I can’t say about the selectivity, but once you get in your choice is totally non-binding…you just have to fill out a form. And you can switch between AB / BSE as many times as you want, basically.

Engineering is 1/5th the size of the rest of the school so I would think “applying” to that “limits” your chance of acceptance due to sheer #s of typical high scoring Math/Sci kids who already apply…
