I was wondering what sort of envelopes Princeton sends out to applicants. If one is accepted, do they automatically get the 8 1/2 by 11 envelope? Or can they even receive a regular size, smaller, envelope? And is there any difference between the envelopes of ED and RD?

If anyone can chime in on this, that would be just great. :)

i'm totally wondering about that too!!! i tried looking in the messageboards, but all the acceptance posts were "omG I GOT IN" and it didn't say anything about the size of the envelopes.

aaahhh. i'm so nervous right now... and its not even december yet!

Ooooh, I loooove Wicked, too! I saw it on Broadway during August '05 (wow, can't believe it's been that long) and it was AMAZING! I was honestly tearing up during "Defying Gravity," it was so incredible!
robbyg, I was going to tell you to try again to see it on Bway, but then I saw your location--you would have quite a ways to come back to NYC!lol

ummm ok so are you guys ready to be insanely jealous?! I am going to london to see idina menzel in Wicked...she's doing a limited engagement until January!! I am SO incredibly excited! I want to be her!

OMG, SHUT UP!! (I mean that in the "I don't believe it" way, not in the mean way) You are soooooooo lucky! She is so amazing in everything she does--Wicked, Rent, etc. (I love Rent, too--any other Rentheads out there?) I am so insanely jealous!

ahhhhh i know right?!!!?!!! I literally cannot stop smiling...my dad told me today...early b-day present!!!!
And yes i'm a huge Rent fan....hated the movie though...
Ah Jump over the moon is my favorite song to sing! btlesgirl are you a big musical theater person too?

At the time, I loved the movie, but looking back I realize that it was mostly because I was with a bunch of friends and we were singing along, etc. Now I think it's just OK.
My fav Rent song changes daily, but right now I love the Out Tonight/Another Day sequence...oh, and Over the Moon, and What You Own, and Halloween, and La Vie Boheme, and, well, the list goes on and on...
And yeah, I love musicals!!
I'm sorry to hijack this thread, too!

haha basically you just love the whole show! but ya me too i know what you mean...
The reason I didn't like the film was becase I just thought it had no point of view! Like they had the opportunity to make such an incredible movie...but I felt they just didn't haha...honestly the only show that i've loved as a movie was Chicago.
Do you sing and act btlesgirl?

YAY!!! We're back on the subject of Wicked!!! The most amazing experience of my life!!!
I though about being original on my Princeton app, but then just decided to be honest and put down "Defying Gravity" for my favorite recording. Btw, have either of you listened to it during plane takeoffs? Now that is just classic. :)

Oh, and I love how Princeton takes you too see Broadway shows for like, $20.

GettingIn--I loved Chicago, too! Probably one of my top 5 (well, at least top 10) favorite movies of all time. Eh, I used to act and (try to) sing, mostly during the summer, but it eventually got pushed aside by other things...I still love theater, though!
nelle--Haha, I never thought of the whole Defying Gravity/take-off thing. What a great idea! I'll be sure to remember next time I find myself on a plane.
Wicked is, well WICKED AWESOME (haha, couldn't help myself--I am from New England after all)!!

omg!!! i have seen wicked 6 times!!!!!!! i am a bway freak. i have seen dozens of bway shows! wicked is my favourite by far. i am actually seeing it on friday in toronto. my favourite elphaba is eden espinosa followed by idina menzel. i never knew so many ppl on cc loved bway!

Back to your original question, the admissions envelope from last year:

the envelope for acceptances was about 13" x 10.5". the envelope is just large enough to hold a school-style (2 flap) folder. there is a car decal, a map of princeton, NJ and a pton athletics sched. included (plus the letter a few fin. aid pages...if applicable)
it is white
