Admissions Envelopes

haha not really....i copied and pasted from the ED decision forum from last year...thanks though!

lmao that was funny.
okay sooo...the rejection/deferral letter also looks the same then?

No it's smaller, I think.

you mean thinner? or actually a smaller size?

will we know our decision (by email/PIN) before we get the envelope?

Smaller actual size...like business size envelope, I think.

oh that kind of stinks -- it would be better if they came in the same envelope so you could actually read the letter before thinking, "oh **** i just got rejected / deferred."

if there's differences in the envelope sizes then I think I'll open the e-mail...of course, the e-mail might say in it's subject heading "COngratulations" or "We're Sorry" etc...dunno though...

anywz, ya, that was a sad day. All you Nyorkers will know of the 50%off tickets you can get day of for Broadway shows. Well Wicked was sold out for that day so we saw Hairspray...prob not as good. I saw Phantom of the Opera though during the blackout weekend a couple years back, and I saw Les Mis in London which was amazing!!

oh man i really want to see les mis!!! i LOVED that book

Me too! I wish I could just live on Broadway...
Anyways, now this thread is actually important, because as we all found out today, we cannot read our decisions online. (grrrr!!!) But maybe the old-fashioned way of envelope sizes is kind of romantic.

Yeah...I kind of like the idea of waiting by the mailbox for the decision to come...so traditional...but probably when that time comes I won't like it so much!

very true nelle, but i still think it kinda sucks that we'll basically know our decision right when we open the mailbox (acceptance letter has a bigger envelope im pretty sure)

Question...do they email us the decision too? If so when?

probably after it comes in the mail...i guess they want to rub it in

You know what you all will be missing out on? Fred Hargardon's classic "Yes!" letter. I appreciate that Janet Rapelye needed to make changes and break from the past and all that, but dang...the "Yes!" letter was cool.

i think having a single envelope size for accept/defer/reject would be the most exciting...i'd probably have the envelope sitting on my desk for days unopened...

While we are on the subject...
I heard that Hargadon loved humorous essays. Do you know if Rapelye appreciates humor or is she more traditional?

omg, i hope they'd email us on the 15th to inform us whether we got in.. the long wait will kill me lol

lol....questbridge applicants will get their decision on dec. 1

we will not be able to check our results using the pin thing- they will def be sent out the old fashioned way
