i like that. i don't mind the 1day extra wait, and i want an actual, tangible letter to open and view

What's the questbridge way?

I really do believe internationals would get their decision online.....Why would the want me to wait two weeks after for my decision..... The excitement would have lost its flavor...

i'm an international student too, and another 2 weeks are gonna kill me...
somehow i heard that princeton uses couriers to send acceptance letters. dunno if it's true though. maybe we can tell the admission officers to inform us of the results by emails?

yes they better! this "new" rule is definitely not for the best..... apparently last year...internationals got their decisions by email.
Anyways we shall see. theres nothing we can do... and I do not think I have the courage to call them for a decision. this is a bit upsetting

Yeah, I think that hearing a decision on the phone would just be, well...sucky. Especially if it's the one I know I'm going to get. That poor person on the phone that would have to hear my crying! jk

Yeah I totally agree with you.....wel maybe not the crying part :) Ill wait till I get off the phone so I dont put that "poor person" under too much pressure.... I cna imagine how the person would keep a very straight toneless voice to read out the decision... lol.

If I applied through the mail will my decision be sent to me through the mail?...is the big envelope myth really true? what does the acceptance letter look like...so far...no one has really answered the question

While I do want an actual letter so I can either frame it, burn it, or use it to wipe away my tears (just kidding, I'd have to be stupid to cry about getting rejected from one of the most selective schools anywhere), I want it before the 15th so I can save $75 and not send Stanford my app.

whoamg- exactly my feelings!! i'm applying to stanford too and $75 is really a lot of money.

the letter is nice and everything, and of course i'd like to get it eventually, but since they KNOW our decisions BEFORE we get them in the mail, and the decisions are probably on their computers, then it would be so much kinder just to post it on our PIN sites!

Actually, I'd rather that they (Princeton) make the application cost $5 more, and overnight FedEx the letters.

$5 more to save $75... sounds good to me. Or Stanford can just not be evil and make the RD date Jan 1 like it should be.

i know, i guess stanford does that on purpose though.
yeah i'd definitely pay more for a faster decision too.

yah.. I'd be glad to get a faster decision too...

My parents are not letting me cut it so close - they think that if I don't send my apps in at least a month before the deadline, I'll not get into anything. So... just paid the $75 last night.

good luck.

in the email that pton sent us notifying the PIN feature:
"Please note that our office will be mailing decision letters to Early Decision candidates in mid-December. It will not be possible for Early Decision candidates to view their decisions online in December."

does that mean we can use the PIN for results only in Jan? so we will get an email first, then a snail mail and then we can use the PIN? lol

I think we can use the PIN now, cant we?

i meant using the PIN for knowing the decisions..

Oh. I think you can do that december 15th, but Im not sure...

No they say you cannot !

They are probably not too sure that it will work and fear judicial problems. As an international, I'll have to wait for a week or so... not that I would be too optimistic...
