Hi everyone, this is the rough draft of my admissions essay to BU. Is it too bland?

In no more than 250 words, please tell us why BU is a good fit for you and what specifically has led you to apply for admission.

There are a myriad of reasons why I believe Boston University is the best fit for me. For my entire life I attended an all-girls ultra-Orthodox Jewish private school. The summer after I graduated from this high school I enrolled in a couple classes at a community college. This was my first time ever really being exposed to people who come from a dissimilar background than I, yet I was pleasantly surprised by the eager questions I received. BU is a diverse and multi-cultural environment where I feel I can branch out and learn about the infinite amount of religious backgrounds and cultures that I never had the chance to learn about before. Additionally, BU offers an intense and varied academic curriculum, a factor I specifically looked for – coming from a high school with a dual Judaic and secular curriculum. Though I am unsure of my area of study, BU offers all of the majors I am interested in, including English, Film & Television with Specialization in Film, and Linguistics. In addition to offering me a remarkable education, BU is located in one of the prime cities for college students. I feel that Boston’s rich history and many historical landmarks can contribute immensely to my education and college experience. Lastly, though BU is an extremely diverse university, it also has a vibrant Hillel and Jewish community, and for that reason I think it is the perfect place for me to learn about and be exposed to other cultures while still remaining an involved and proud member of my own religious community.
