Admissions Essays

I finally finished my first essay, but I just realized it's at about 600 something words. I'm going to clean up the essay a lot more to bring the word count down, but do you think it'd be bad for me to only send in one essay? I really don't want to change too much of my essay because I really like it, but I don't want to hurt my chances by only sending one in.

I only sent in one essay that tied two of the prompts together, and I’ve already been accepted.

I sent two, but I think you can get away with one:) Maybe if you merge the answers to the questions together in one format, that would work.

Ah, and goodluck! Though you probably don’t need it, considering I got in, lol.

as long as your under 500 words you should be straight. the topics are very broad anyways

Just send it, if your stats are good I doubt they’ll even read it.

Now I’ve got it down to 553… do you think it’s okay to send it?

I would follow the directions and do two, since they say that you do have to do two essays. If they see that you didn’t follow directions, that’s not going to be good on your part.

I think I’m just going to send in one… I’m going to get it under 500 words though.

Why follow one of their requirements and not the other? lol either just send it in as-is or send in 2 that total under 500 words.

mine was over lol

And mine was two copy/pasted essays from the Auburn app lol. I really don’t think they read em.

I just basically cut my UF app essay into two prompts lol
