Hi guys,

I'd love to study for at least a semester in the United States (a whole year would be better though). I'm french and it's gonna be my second year in a law school. There is an exchange program in my college - NYU is so far the best university where I could go if I can leave -. Anyway, I'd like to explore every possibilities (maybe going to an american university without my college program ?).

To go study in the US I need to pass the TOEFL + SAT (not sure about the SAT though, but NYU apparently wants it). I also need loads of money. Apart from that, do I need something else ? Do I got my chances to be accepted in an american university if I have good results at the TOEFL + SAT ?

Thanks for answering !

The people to ask about the specific requirements for your law school’s exchange program are at that law school. You need to make an appointment with the program coordinator, and get the details.

As for other colleges and universities, you would need to pick them out yourself based on some criteria of your own, contact them individually, and ask about arranging to study there in “non-degree” or “guest” status. If you haven’t any notion of where to begin, start by reading through everything at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.info/) then pay a visit to the advising center in Paris [EducationUSA - Center Profile - Centre EducationUSA, Franco-American Commission for Educational Exchange](http://www.educationusa.info/Fulbright-France)

Thanks a lot for answering me and for all these informations !
