Admissions GPA question

I've read that tech adds .5 per AP class.
At my high school they add 10 points for every AP class, so if i were to get an 83 in AP US History I would actually be making a 93.

So my question is:
When tech recalculates my AP's will they keep the 10 points my school has added or will they deduct the 10 points then add the .5?

I am also a Junior in High School and I don’t know 100% but I believe Tech allows you to keep the extra points and then add on the .5 to your GPA. This means you will in all likelihood have a “Tech GPA” higher than 4.0

God I would love to believe this.

They give you 5 points from your raw score, I believe. I know for regular GPA grades, if a B is worth 3 points, AP classes get 3.5’ a C would normally be opts, but if it’s an AP class it’s worth 2.5, etc.

Haha well lucky for you
they add the .5, so it’s 4.5
