what do you do if you forget your id, password and all that stuff you need when they finally post decisions?

If you e-mail the admissions office and ask for your GWid and include your full name and date of birth they should send you your id. I'm not sure about passwords or anything, but that's how I found out my id.

well i kept my ED admissions letter and it had my GW ID on 1 of the papers, was i suppose to do anything with that?

So far the only useful thing I've used my GWid for is checking my application status for the first time. I think it's mainly for the university to keep track of people.

what do you need the I.D. for? all i need to status check is my email and password, they sent me an i.d. but i dont know where i need to use it?

you also need it when you get your email address, i think

i dont have an id...

You can also use it to register for your GW email address...among other things.

i dont understand why i never received an id. To all of you, did they email you your id? When did you get it?

My daughter did not get the GW ID, either. You need to email admissions with your name, SSN, and DOB, and they will email the ID to you.

Here:

I think that is for freshman. Not for applicants.

Sorry, I was assuming the applicant in question had already been admitted (ED).
