My “Why Brown” essay alludes to my infatuation with the Sayles Hall organist on Halloween…This is a popular tradition that adcoms will recognize, yes? I appreciate the input, guys.

There's no reason you shouldn't get in, but at the same time, there is no overwhelming reason why they should pick you over another applicant either. As I'm sure you've noticed from myriad threads on CC, you have to make your application emphasize a unique aspect of your high school tenure. While you have a solid list of good ECs, none of them "jump off the page," to use a term I've seen tossed around a lot on this forum. Hence, your ideal strategy, I would say, is to emphasize a select few ECs that put you in a niche that admissions officers would find appealing. If you did that, you should be set, if you didn't, you still have a shot but it will be more difficult.
The most important thing right now, however, is not to be posting chances threads, but to relax--there's nothing more you can do, just sit back and try to forget about the upcoming decision letters (and yes, I know exactly how difficult it is to do just that).

You have great things that make you stand out...that said, working at admissions, I've seen thousands upon thousands of kids who look absolutely phenomenal. For that reason, I don't really think these chance threads are helpful. Most people making the judgement calls on this website have never been in the basement of the admissions office to see all of the other applicants. With this year especially, admission to Brown is going to be a whole lot tougher. Good luck, though.

I agree with Mochabear - There's no reason at this point to post chance threads. What other applicants have to say about you does not have any correlation with what the admissions officers will think about you. Just relax.
