I feel like last year’s dates are a better guide…seems a lot of schools day they release later than they actually do, historically.
According to the Boston University ApplicantLink, it used to state March 22nd as the date they would start sending out notifications. Just logged into my son’s account, and now there is no date listed.
Consensus on the WashU forum has the notification date as March 9th. And Rice at March 22nd.
any reason why we aren’t using the information on this list?
Also, what percentage of the RD applicants generally receive notifications before the deadline? or do they usually all come out at once?

@OHMomof2 certainly use last year’s dates as a guide if you prefer, but this is meant to ultimately be more accurate. If schools make changes to published release dates, people should edit here as well.
I wonder if published dates on websites have differed from (been later than) actual release dates in the past? For example Ivy day. That’s what I was saying - the actual release date history may be more accurate than the date schools put out, which could be later so as to give breathing room, you know?
might be true and probably easy to figure out if you want to go through old threads…I’m not interested enough to spend my time though. It might be tricky for the Ivies because one school may be ready and another institution behind, yet they’ve all agreed to disclose together.

Cornell is 3/31. This date was directly from the admissions office to my applicant.
@OHMomof2 and @Soapymango Actual notification dates are often a week or two earlier than the published dates. Last year we parents and students kept an updated list as the decisions came rolling in, to help this year’s class with those excruciating last few weeks of waiting. I posted it here:

Keep in mind that many schools will release on a specific day of the week… so if it was on Friday last year it probably will be on Friday this year as well. Also keep in mind that many times the online portal gets updated with decisions hours before the email goes out saying “check your portal”…
Perhaps it would be helpful to make a list of the published dates, as you all have been doing, with last years dates beside it… something like:
Boston U - April 1 (actual 2014 date March 22)
NYU - April 1 (actual 2014 date March 28)
Stanford - April 1 (actual 2014 date March 28 (3 PM PDT)
