Thanks, zmom. I spend most of my cc time “over to the cc trailer park” , a.k.a. the pre-med forum. Several of us keep an IRT “blog-ish med school application sort of thing” going as a guide for the next riders in the chute. I hope it’s helpful.

Me too. We’ve all been through a lot together, haven’t we? I look forward to reading about the graduation.

If you would like to read a college acceptance letter gone horribly wrong and the father’s witty response see [Congrats!
curmudgeon - thank you for the update on the mudge - congratulations!

@ Hat
Our household received a very similar letter this cycle from ASU. It was from their honor’s college. Name and address correct for the female applicant, but the salutation was Dear Common Male Name no resemblance to applicant’s. Likely a mail merge error, but phone call wasn’t sufficient to clear it up.
Eventually several phone calls from honors college followed to clarify that the girl had been accepted, in fact was one of the first to be accepted from the pool, very apologetic, but I had to laugh when I saw the article – apparently ASU is still having issues…

Congrats Curm and ZooserMom!

Curm- Love that note she sent when she withdrew. Nice time to tell them at the interview that she appreciate their willingness to wait

Update: D just got a “now that you’re admitted” email with invitation to an event at a school that she applied to but hasn’t heard from. She politely emailed that there might have been a mistake. Although a bunch of her friends have been admitted already, so perhaps something was lost in the mail.

i didn’t realize curmudgeons DD was graduating already!!
