Admissions Officers

Does anyone know (or can guess) how many admissions committee memebers read your application at Williams?

I'm curious because a friend of mine who is applying to Penn says that Penn has regional assignments for each admissions rep and the person from admissions who visited each region makes the decision on each applicant. Is this the case at Williams?

They do have regional admissions reps, but I think (though don't know) that at least two or three people go over your application and then there independent appraisels put together make the case for accept, reject, waitlist. I'm really not sure on the specifics.

Nonetheless, I do know the admission reps at Williams are really great people! :)

Read the article MikeyD posted in the other thread!

i heard that although it has regional reps, the admission office reads the apps in alphabetical order. I also heard 2-3 ppl read your app.

i just got my postcard saying they received my application. It says something like "it's your responsibility to submit teacher rec, transcript, etc." I'm hoping this doesn't mean that they don't have my recs? This postcard is same in content for everyone right?
thanks.

Postcard should be the same for everyone

Good luck

Haven't received post card. But D requested and received confirmation they received ED agreement. She sent everything Registered mail, so she received written confirmation that everything arrived at admissions.
Sorry, don't know about who reads applications.
