Do anyone know the names of the admissions officers at brown or how to contact them?

You have to call the Admission Office for names and contact info. They don't give out email addresses though.

Well the reason I ask is that I went to one of those college presentations by admissions officers from Brown, Rice, Chicago, Cornell, and Columbia and the admissions officer there really influenced me to apply to Brown. Since one of the essay questions asks about that, and I really don't remember the name of the dude, all I remember is he was tall, skinny, and white, it would really help. And since the admissions office is closed until january 1, it really doesn't help my situation at all.

A list of admission events (including some with Rice, Brown, Cornell, Chicago, Columbia) and what Brown admission officer was there.

I'm in the exact same situation. I can describe the woman, but I forget her name. This visit however was a highschool one, so it's not on that site. Does anyone know the regional admissions officer for eastern MA who is an African American woman?

I love it how every school loves to stop in New Mexico oh-so-often.

Oh thank you so much!!!

does anybody know if brown has a separate minority admissions officer? cuz i've been in contact w/ my regional officer, but some people say that she wont even read my app cuz i'm black & it goes to another person!!!!

wow thats ridiculous

yah.. crazy, right? but my friend's uncle is a minority reader at dartmouth & i've met the minority officer for cornell, so i kno such a thing exists. does anybody know if brown has one?

Descant, Is she tall-ish?

Talk about what he said, not about him. It will carry more weight.

beprepn

I honestly don't remember. She is an African American admissions couneslor for eastern MA. I doubt there can be too many people that fit that description =)

Try contacting one of these folks. They might help you find the person you're looking for.

I really appreciate it, Zuma. However, I assume those people work for admissions, right? In that case they won't respond to my emails until after the deadline which doesn't really help my cause.

They might respond. They check their emails off-campus too. No harm trying.
