Hey guys, I had a quick question regarding acceptance/enrollment rates at Cornell.

18% of applicants enrolled at Cornell in 2010; what percentage was accepted?

24.7% overall, but it varies depending on the school.

24.7% is NOT the acceptance rate. [University Admit Rate Drops to 18 Percent | The Cornell Daily Sun](http://www.cornellsun.com/section/news/content/2010/04/01/university-admit-rate-drops-18-percent)

CAS is around 15-16.

I didn’t search that closely and picked the first site I found, so I could be wrong. [Cornell Admission 2010](http://ivysuccess.com/cornell_2010.html)

But 18% would mean that virtually everyone who was admitted also enrolled, which would be nearly impossible. Unless OP meant acceptance rate instead of enrollment rate?

Haha, that was my question: is 18% the admission rate or the enrollment rate, and if it is one of those, then what is the other.

Upon browsing their website, I found this: http://dpb.cornell.edu/documents/1000002.pdf

Last year, the acceptance rate was 18.36% and the enrollment rate was 8.8%.

This is the page you want to look at. The numbers you posted were outdated.

The yield at Cornell is ~50%

Ah, right, guess I should read more closely then. Thanks for pointing it out.
