Admissions - PPSP applicants

collegebound_09 : I didn't check my case status for awhile so when I checked it today, I was surprised at the congratulations message. I guess they're still uploading the decisions?
Greatful- How much does case offer NMF? I have another college as my first-choice for NM right now, but I may change it after all the decisions are out.

Not much - I think it is 500 a year. But hopefully you will get a generous scholarship. Our seniors (2007 and 2008) got 25K + a year. The PPSP student has to maintain 3.6 GPA to keep the scholarship. Non PSP has to maintain 3.2, I believe. Patience.. just a few days left.

Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that you have been admitted to Case Western Reserve University for the Fall 2009 semester! You should be proud of this significant achievement, for you have been selected from an extremely talented pool of applicants. Please look for your official welcome packet arriving shortly via US Mail.

YAY! :)

That's a stress-relief...now the hard part...waiting for scholarships...

Gratz to everyone who got accepted! I was dreading my page only to see "still under review" :( The waiting is killlllling me...

Congrats collegebound_09!

I'm a PPSP Med applicant. My regular decision letter arrived today, and I was happy to see that not only was I accepted but I received the trustee scholarship. Unfortunately, the letter said nothing about PPSP. Does anyone know specifically when the letters arrive, or if they have been sent out yet? By my calculation, they should arrive by Saturday.

Which state do you live in? I thought it would take at least a week for the package to arrive...and how much is the trustee scholarship? I heard that CW use SAT scores heavily in giving out scholarships

yay my package and ppsp finalist status arrived today :)!

Dante- I don't think SAT is that big a deal with the scholarships. I took my SAT's twice and the best I got is a 1980 (630 CR, 700 Math, 650 Writing). I did get a 33 on the ACT though. I received the President's Scholarship for $22,500 per year.

Congrats simplyroro! hopefully I hear back soon about the ppsp then. Good luck to all!

I got the Trustee scholarship as well.
Can we receive more aid after CW process our financial aid info?

I got the Trustee scholarship too, but I got a "we appreciate your patience" note regarding PPSP. Apparently those of us who haven't heard about it yet are supposed to be notified this week.

hi simplroro, did you get the undergraduate decision letter and PPSP finalist status in the same the package or are they two different packages ?

i actually got them in the same package.
They were two separate letters paper-clipped to the front of the folder

thank you. maybe only selected finalists get in the same package.

i spoke with someone from the school tonight, and he said that everything was mailed out between friday and yesterday so we should be hearing soon. good luck to all!

Son got Trustee's. No info regarding PPSP.

Did any RD applicants already receive their decision? Or are they just now releasing Early Action decisions?

I am also wondering about the RD decisions. From reading last year's posts it looks like the decisions went out around March 5 in 2008.

No, the PPSP RD applications received their decisions in early march/late feb. but the rest of RD will receive their decisions a few weeks later

Is it still possible to receive PPSP finalist status if simplyroro already received it with the acceptance packet?

Also, how much is the Trustee's scholarship worth?
