<p>I've submitted my app to HMC for RD, and received a confirmation email (Thanks for submitting... call us if you have any questions... etc.)</p>
<p>When should I next expect to hear from HMC? Do they have a way to check application materials that have not yet been received? Do the mail a letter or send an email before April 1st or will 4/1/09 be the next time I hear from them?</p>

<p>For early decision, I got confirmation of submission, then one email 9 days later asking for some materials that they hadn't appeared to have received yet. After a quick phone call with them about it, I never heard from them again until my acceptance email yesterday. So it looks like if you've got everything in, you won't get anything until decision time.</p>
<p>I never got any confirmation of submission, so I don't know if that's different since you're international. I only got an e-mail three days ago about missing materials. I'm not sure how submitting the final stuff in on the 15th would have affected this, though. And my counselor didn't send her rec letters until the 15th so...</p>
<p>Er, actually, I did get a confirmation e-mail. I just don't know how to think I guess.</p>
