Congrats to all who were accepted yesterday! I just have a quick question. In my applicant canter it says I was admitted but that's it. It doesnt say what college I will be in or anything. I applied as a Bio major in the Pre- PA program but how do I know if I got in?

I have tried using Google chrome and nothing changes

Most majors are open at JMU. So, the acceptance from JMU is an academic one to the university in general.

Students admitted to JMU academically may attend as undecided, in an unrestricted major, or in a major that has progression standards to apply to be fully admitted to the program after completing certain pre-reqs at JMU or a CC.

For major programs that are restricted there is a program admissions process that is separate from JMU academic admissions. This does not mean that a student needs to be admitted to the program to come to JMU, but that there are specific admissions/ progression standards that need to be met in order to be in that specific program. For some of these programs (music, theatre, dance, art, design and art history, etc…) there is a separate audition or portfolio review which can (and often should) be completed before a student chooses to attend JMU… Regardless of the outcome of this process an academically admitted student may attend JMU in an unrestricted major or a major that has progression/ admissions standards for currently enrolled students.

For Example. I teach in Theatre and Musical Theatre Students have to audition for us to be admitted to the program, BUT if they are not admitted to the program, but are admitted academically to JMU they may attend JMU in another major.
