Admissions question

I am a Hispanic male oos and I currently have a 28 ACT (31E, 28M, 26R, 29S) and a 3.4UW and a 4.3W GPA 82/592 (top 15%. First, what are my chances to get into the college of Biological Sciences and second, if my stats aren't high enough to get into that college will I be denied or placed into a different college?

Are you a Dreamer or first-gen college student? That, with the URM would bump your chances for CBS. 100% for CLA, 50-50 for CBS, depending on the major (you might be accepted to CFANS alternately).

My major is biochem

And I’m not a dreamer or first gen @khidhala‌

Bump

Bump

I’ll just repeat my answer in a similar thread you posted elsewhere:

Honestly, chances aren’t great for CBS. Your best bet, if you can’t get the GPA and ACT up, is to be admitted to CLA, then transfer into CBS as a sophomore or junior.

Good ECs, and URM are plusses, though. In state or out? Assuming in-state, I’d guess 20% for CBS, 100% for CLA. Less for out state.
