Hello Everyone,

I was just wondering, since I really don't know, how do you make it specific in the admissions process as to what exactly you want to "major" or specialize in (as in why Princeton specifically). I had a great experience with a Princeton rep. at a college fair in my school, and I am really interested in applying with a focus on Philosophy. If anyone knows something specifically about Philosophy that would be amazing, but if you don't - just in general too. Any response is much appreciated. Thanks.

we have Peter Singer - he's pretty famous. Also Cornel West...but he's not really philosophy,...but he sort of is I think?

And dont worry about knowing right now what you want to major in. Wherever you go, you'll have plenty of time to figure it out.

You specify your major by picking it from a list on the application. Obviously, you can talk about how much you love your selected major in your essays as well.

As for Princeton's philosophy department: its graduate program is ranked third in the country, behind Rutgers and NYU. (No, the graduate program isn't the undergraduate program, but no one ranks undergraduate programs.)

Yeah, I read about Pete Singer and thats a big draw for me

Thanks for responding though, since I wasn't completely sure of how to make what i was applying for clear (other than essays)
