Admissions Questions

1) Are some schools harder to get into than others? I'm considering both Wiess and Engineering because I'm still on the fence between two majors.

2) Is it difficult to switch between schools? or double major between schools?

3) Does anyone know how the process works for admissions, and if they have a specific person who will review my application, or if they will do it as a committee?

Thanks

Outside of the music and architecture schools, there is no difference in difficulty of admission, and it is also extremely easy to transfer and double-major between the schools.

You aren’t bound to your school at all, unless you are a music or architecture major. You can switch majors or double major between schools at any point really.

One mores admissions related question- Is it likely that there are changes on the supplement? I want to start working on it but I’m not sure if it will be the same as last years.

As far as I’m concerned, the supplement is always the same. It stands the test of time because it asks for some of the things Rice is most concerned about–why you want to be there and what you think you’d contribute.
