Hey, I applied regular decision to Pomona and I was wondering if people who already got into Pomona early knew what the admissions rate was this year. I got in Early Action to Georgetown and in the acceptance letter they said that the admissions rate this year was 18%. Yale did the same thing with their acceptance letters (they had an 8% admit rate this year), and I was wondering if Pomona released any statistic along with their acceptance/rejection letters.

Do you mean the admissions rate from last year, or the rate for Early Decision?

from ED i guess, but i guess that actually wouldnt be helpful for me since the regular acceptance rate is likely lower

Hmmmm oh gosh, I knew this, but unfortunately the pm got deleted...from my understanding, they accepted a very tiny amount of people for ED, and the rest were rejected. From those who were not accepted, a small amount of people were deferred (which is why I am still here on CC :D). Very vague, sorry, but I don't trust myself to give you specific numbers.

For the Class of 2011 I think it was like 15.6%

Applications:
Men 2255
Women 3652
Total 5907

Admissions
Men 466
Women 498
Total 964

Admit Rate 16.32%

WL Admits 22

ED Applicants 637
ED Admitted 132
ED Admit Rate 20.72%

ED this year was around 15-17%
this was a rough estimate by an admissions officer though, so it may not be completely accurate

Guys get in on a higher rate! Nice!
